About Sigiriya

Sigiriya, the 'Lion Rock', is a 5th-century fortress built atop a massive granite column rising 200 metres above the surrounding jungle. It features ancient frescoes, a mirror wall with centuries-old graffiti, and sweeping views of the Cultural Triangle. It is considered one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning in the world.
