1. Arrive Before the Gates Open (6:30 AM)
The ticket office opens at 6:30 AM. You want to be among the first people through the gates. There are two reasons for this: **heat** and **bottlenecks**. The climb involves 1,200 steep metal steps attached to the side of a vertical rock. By 9:00 AM, the sun is blazing, the metal steps heat up, and tour buses arrive. Large crowds create slow bottlenecks on the narrow stairways, turning a 45-minute climb into a 2-hour queue.
